Mental Wellness for the API Community, May 2nd 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM CST

APIs are the least likely group to seek mental health services. We’ll discuss some of the barriers that we experience that make us less likely to seek out services. Many of us have experienced racial trauma and intergenerational trauma, so we’ll share more in depth about these topics and how they impact our mental health. Personal experiences from the webinar hosts will be shared to highlight the material. This webinar is appropriate for anyone who identifies as part of the API community.

Navigating Therapy for the API Community, May 31st 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM CST

Navigating therapy can be challenging when trying to find a qualified and skilled provider that’s a good fit for you. You may be interested in therapy or other forms of support for your mental wellness, but don’t know where to start. You find yourself frustrated with not wanting to spend the money on an intake if the therapist isn’t going to be a good fit. On top of all of that, therapy has in inherent power dynamic that can feel uncomfortable to navigate. We’re going to share all the “tea” on how to navigate finding a culturally sensitive provider who can best meet your individual needs. Personal experiences to be shared by webinar hosts. This webinar is appropriate for anyone who identifies as part of the API community.
